Course description: Physical science is a high school level course which satisfies the Ohio Core science graduation requirement. This course contains inquiry-based laboratory experience that engages students in asking valid scientific information while collecting and analyzing data. The purpose of physical science is to study the physical world, as related to chemistry, physics, and space science. Topics covered will include, but are not limited to forces, motion, energy, classification of matter, atomic properties, the periodic table, and chemical bonds. The course introduces students to key concepts and theories that will provide a foundation for further study in other sciences and advanced science disciplines.
